These cookies are really fun to make. And the cool thing is that you can make any colors you want with any flavors you want. This red, white and peppermint combo is great for Christmas.
Technique tip: Dough always needs to be at the right temperature. It's important to put it in the fridge after the dough is formed and then freeze it once the candy cane shapes are formed before placing in the oven.
Swap option: You can make different colors or swap the peppermint for cinnamon extract or any flavor you desire.
